WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STORIES!
The stag is one of Ireland’s proud national symbols. Being both noble and savage, mundane and mystical, powerful and graceful, the stag represents the harmonious duality of opposing natures. A harmony achieved by balancing the converse parts within the whole.
Wild Stag Productions considers balance our principle value. In a period of history where more and more lines are being drawn, even unto the point of vilifying those who think differently to us, we believe in sharing a message of oneness; An understanding that our ideological opponents may not simply be our enemies, but may just be the necessary resistance that completes and harmonises us within the whole. After all…
"A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool.”
- William Shakespeare
To achieve balance, we must first esteem the truth above our own presuppositions, biases, and desires. Truth can only be found through careful but bold examination of our definitions; of both that which is yet unknown (chaos) and that which we assume to be understood (Order). Our examination must necessarily be motivated by empathy, and a concern for the wellbeing of all of humanity, not just that of our particular tribes. And such empathy can only be achieved through open communication, where all messages and ideas can be exchanged unfiltered.
And at a fundamental level we believe that the most potent method of communication - of sharing ideas, values, warnings, and exhortations - is through storytelling. Thus…
We believe in the power of stories!
Wild Stag Productions is dedicated to boldly expressing ideas which may challenge and expose social conventions, as well as sharing the values and traditions of Irish culture.
Our intention is to make authentically Irish films, with a tone, humour, and themes pertinent to the culture of our time. To make movies about Irish people, for Irish people, and to demonstrate who we are as a tribe to the world at large.
And lastly, we seek to expose universal human truths. Reflecting our desires, our needs, our errors, and our virtues, so that we can at once find joy through entertainment, and catharsis through pity and fear.

COMPANY DIRECTOR
ADAM WILLIAM CAHILL
DIRECTOR / PRODUCER / WRITER
Adam has always been a creative person and had initially longed to be a performer. He began to sing as soon as he could speak, took part in school plays and went to drama classes, and though he wasn't much of a reader he became enamoured with Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy at fifteen, and felt compelled to read Tolkein's novels thereafter, which galvanised Adam's desire to take up creative writing.
He developed his skills as a video editor working for an alternative media group creating short documentaries. He would eventually use this content in his college application portfolio, and as a result he was deemed eligible to skip the first year of a Media and Communications course.
In college his attentions turned from documentary film making to narrative drama. In his final year of college, he wrote, produced, and directed his first short film, Inertia. In 2016 he graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production.
During college he'd also spent time working on various TV series, including a role as Samuel Barnett's body double on Showtime's Penny Dreadful, and as Officer Riggs on BBC’s Ripper Street. While on set he paid close attention to all of the production elements in order to get a better idea of how things operate on set.
Adam wrote his first feature film, Follow the Dead, a month after finishing college and went into production shortly thereafter, having taken out a bank loan in order to invest in himself and his team. Since then he has also produced and directed the short film Loose Thread, and edited two feature films for Big Bay Entertainment; the horror comedy Poppy Loftus, and the crime drama Tuesday Traders.
